About

Hello, My name is Jyoti Agarwal (Jo). I have done my Masters in Computer Science and working in pharmaceutical industry as statistical programmer on oncology clinical trials for five plus years. Although I have no formal degree in Arts, I always had the knack of expressing my thoughts, dreams, and visions via the powerful tool of drawing and painting. Therefore, as an hobby I started teaching arts to kids and soon I realized that I cherish to devote my time for children's art and creativity. I volunteered for different art programs to teach in an orphanage, for charity fund raising campaigns, etc.

Every year I participate in the Darshan Meditation Camp, in Virginia to teach discovery art class to children ages 8-14 for a week.

For three years, I was a part of Children's Art Village, India. I volunteered for not-for-profit art center ArtPace, TX. I have taken couple of art courses to add more exposure and variety to my skills. I was an active member of Student Life in ACC for two years.

I am a self-taught artist and love working with children. I am passionate about teaching arts to kids that helps to discover the magic of creativity in young artists. I work with children to explore the new ideas and teach them to express things through their art that they don't even have words for yet.

Just a note to say thank you for the art classes. I enjoyed them very much. It was an enjoyable learning experience that I hope to continue when we move to San Diego. Meanwhile my son has framed my painting and is hanging it in his house. Many thanks!”
